Robert Clark

Always a natural Athlete Robert was destined to achieve greatness on the football field . He first achieved greatness winning a League cup winners medal with Partick Thistle before moving to Queen of the South . He will always be welcome in the Dumfries area as after becoming a favourite with them as a player and he led them to promotion as manager. I quote from the Official Queen of the south web site.
Robert NOBBY Clark
Born Glasgow , signed in 1975 from Partick Thistle . Nobby was a loyal servant and a One Hundred Percent club man.
Became Queens Manager in 1984 and led Queens to promotion in 1985/86, finishing runners up in the league to Dunfermline. After great service to the club left in Summer 1986 to manage Stranraer , through controversy with the then board. He is now working as a tactical advisor with Motherwell.
His hobbies apart from football include golf and golf and he can on most weekends be found at Bishopbriggs golf club.
Now playing off an ever decreasing handicap he has transferred his sporting ability to the golf course and is not the man to challenge for a pound .
